Lonnie Zamora, April 1964, NM police officer in Soccoro NM. I was living in El Paso and remember going over to my grandparents(Moms parents) and reading about it in the El Paso Times. Really cool! The thing about being in El Paso at this time was that Ft. Bliss had the NIKE Missle program going and UFOs were a regular visitor in the area as well as at Holoman AFB and White Sands. The other four would be my sightings.

Bentwaters and Roswell. I think Intruders by Bud Hopkins lays out an excellent case. That book is really worth reading, even for abduction skeptics.
Anyone who is still on the fence about Roswell should check out a good production called The Roswell Incident: Startling New Evidence with Bryant Gumble from 2003. This was probably as close to an "official" Roswell documentary as was made since it revolved around the Foster Ranch Project, which was sanctioned by the NM governor Bill Richards and was supported by the University of New Mexico. Basically they sent out a team of archaeologists to survey the site, use sophisticated metal detectors, and lay out an excavation grid based on advice from their primary consultants, Don Schmidt and Tom Kerry. The chief archaeologist, Bill Dolman, concluded he had enough stratigraphic evidence to say there was in fact some kind of large gouge in the terrain that had been covered up, exactly where all the eye-witnesses had said the craft initially hit the ground.
Any skeptic watching this whole program would have a very hard time getting straight-faced responses from people if he/she claimed it was just metal foil laminated onto paper and balsa wood that Mac Brazel, Major Marcel, MANY other base personnel, and ultimately base commander Col. Blanchard himself mistook for an alien craft.
All I can say is, I certainly HOPE that the man the U.S. Army saw fit to put in command of the air base hosting the only atomic strike force in the world at that time didn't look at some paper, foil, and wood (in 1947, before the term UFO even existed) and somehow conclude "This must be an alien ship come to invade us so I must issue a nationwide press release immediately."
This kind of notion strains the reasonable bounds of skepticism way, way past the breaking point.
As far as naming #4 and #5, I'll think a little longer on that.

Glad to see cases like Shag Harbour and the Coyne incident pop up - if I had to pick another I'd say the Tehran case from 1976 is a pretty compelling one - even the Pentagon's DIA were pretty impressed with it and described it as " An outstanding report. This case is a classic which meets all the criteria necessary for a valid study of the UFO phenomenon": Video Pilot Interview: www.youtube.com/watch?v=KJydT3AZ370Cheers.

at the 3:15 mark of the video... the pilot says... we could hear....
I am unable to make out exactly what he says, is anyone about to assist?

I think the Rendlesham Forest Incident at least for the UK is the best one to date, mainly because of the number of highly trained airforce witnesses. Shag harbour in Canada is a good one and I suspect it was more USO than UFO.
Has any one considered that UFO'S don't have to be big, there is just as much likely hood that some could be miniture may be the size of a match box or even smaller.

Here's my choice's in no particular order: JAL Flight 1628 - Reason because this sighting was investigated by the FAA, the objects were also tracked on Airforce Radar then not long after there was another sighting in the same place of the same object only this time it was the US Military that reported it, JAL Flight 1628 also came up in the cockpit recordings. To this day there is no explanation for this sighting. JAL case is posted in Pilot UFO sightings thread here: uforesearchnetwork.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=witness&action=display&thread=13211973 Coyne Helicopter incident - Reason, this incident involved a Military Helicopter, the pilot tryed to get away from the UFO but the helicopter was being pulled towards the UFO, afterwards the electricals on the helicopter all failed, this sighting was also witnessed from the ground. Thread on this here: uforesearchnetwork.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=classic&action=display&thread=599Shag Harbour USO incident - This was witnessed by many people, also the Navy got involved they even sent divers down to see if they could find it, they tracked it and it was joined later by another UFO. Thread here: uforesearchnetwork.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=usos&action=display&thread=211942 - Battle of Los Angeles - The Military fired thousands of rounds at this object, it was witnessed by hundreds of people, and there is still no explanation for what they were firing at. There's an overview of this case here: uforesearchnetwork.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=casefiles&action=display&thread=121I need to update this with vids and pics when i get chance Stephensville UFO Sighting - This was witnessed by loads of people, police officers even saw this sighting there were Jets involved too, police contacted the Airforce and were told they had no planes up in the sky at the time, then 2 weeks later a UFO Investigator got hold of the Radar information and indeed there were planes in the air that night, the military backtracked and said they were doing a training exercise. Those would be close to what I would think.
