One of the Forum Rules state; Advertising Please do not post blatant advertisements, or try to promote health products or links to websites selling products that haven't been endorsed by this website. Read more: uforesearchnetwork.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=rules&action=display&thread=7#ixzz1reVBUwo6This morning I deleted a post that was in violation of this rule. I would suggest all read the Forum Rules to understand what is an acceptable post. Thank you for you cooperation on this matter. ron Global Moderator

You'll also find that accounts can be automated and won't care for the rules regardless how much you attempt to enforce them. This is why the admin has to have preventable safeguards for those kinds of nuisances.

Thank you for your input Aelius. I believe the best safeguard we have is uforn and my presence here reading all posts and deleting any we feel are in violation of the Forum Rules. Again, thank you for your input and all suggestions are always welcome. ron.

There is not much you can do other than delete the posts and ban the offending member, advertising spam is common on nearly every forum.

Never had that issue with my site. Had a system that automatically banned and deleted posts and whatnot so that way, never had to do anything.

I never had a "word" thing. Only a puzzle and you only had to do it once and that was during registration.

Oh, yes. As a guest, you can post in a specific board if you didn't want to register as a member. You never registered which is why you had to do that anti-spam thing each time.
I guess you could say I'm looking around.
