Shape: Triangle - Duration: 30 - 45 seconds

Completely silent, low flying, almost translucent object.

While trying to identify stars and constellations, the first observer was looking in the area of Arcturus or ESE of our observation point. She remarked that she was seeing a triangular shape object approaching.

I was looking a little closer to straight overhead, when I observed the same shape moving in a straight and level path.

It had a triangular shape, no lights, completely silent, and almost translucent.

I could see the shape, and track the movement, but it was would seem to almost disappear for short moments. I estimate it was no more than 3000 – 5000 feet above us and about the size of a jet observed from that distance.

We both followed it until it went out of view behind a house. It was a combination of the complete silence and translucent appearance that we both observed that makes this something we have never seen before.

This is the first "translucent" triangle about which I have read any reports, and have no idea what this was.
I also noticed it had "...no lights..." as did my triangle sighting, which from the numerous articles on the web concerning triangles, this is unusual.
Also, mine was black as were all others reported, not "translucent" as in this case.
Very, very interesting.

I seen a translucent triangle in upstate ny. It flew about 200 feet above the ground. Made no noise whatsoever. Looked like a translucent stealth bomber. There was a weird wake in the sky behind it. Seen it last summer about 3am. Flew directly over my head. Went overhead at a slow pace.

I live where there is a wide open field on both sides of my house. My wife and I were stargazing and we both seen it. Crystal clear sky. Got a very very good long look at it. Just kind of glided through the sky. About 200 feet in the air. The size of what I would say a stealth bomber. Absolutely no lights on the craft.

Hi markwiepert welcome to UFORN  There was a case here in the UK on the 1st June 1997 which was witnessed by 2 pilots Malcolm Smith and his co-pilot (co-pilot didnt want to be named) flying a light aircraft over East Lancashire. They witnessed a huge triangle shadow on the ground but could not see the craft that was casting the shadow despite it being a clear day with very little cloud coverage. A few weeks later there were a couple of pilots flying a microlight near the same area who also witnessed a huge triangle shadow on the ground but they also could not see the craft that was casting the shadow. Very Interesting case's.  These case's were Investigated by UFO Researcher David Cayton.
