I have nothing but the facebook pic However Meldrew has pointed me at the exhibition stuff but paula (who took the photo) said it was there for quite a while untill obscured by clouds, I don't think it would be up that high as I can't see any low cloud, I only posted this photo as it looked like the one in China. But it could be hanging over Farnborough and they play with a lot of weird stuff (Farnborough 3 miles away) it looks to me baz as a balloon, it could well be tethered, then it would be brought down, if it was expensive, or cut away if it was cheap, I used to play with helium balloons over 25 years ago, I reckon someone is playing with them as we speak.

Here's an enlargement of the last 2 images in the sequence, not that they are of any help as I see nothing there.

Ha! love all this I think Meldrew has hit the nail on the head here There are a lot of ufo pics out there which don't make the internet especially those taken on pre-digital cameras so once I sort out how the scanner works (could take a while) I will post a few (if I can find them) don't hold your breath!

I don't bloody belieeve it look whats just turned up ;D Yeti hair found in Russian cave belongs to unknown mammal'n an astonishing claim, scientists have said that DNA tests of supposed 'Yeti hair' found in a Siberian cave have revealed that it belongs to an unknown mammal closely related to humans. The samples of hair were found in the Azasskaya Cave in the Mourt Shoriya area of Kemerovo region in Siberia during an international expedition last year. "We had ten samples of hair to study, and have concluded that they belong to mammal, but not a human, and not the animals known to the area where they were found, like a bear, or wolf, or goat, or any other animal," said Professor Valentin Sapunov of the Russian State Hydrometeorological Institute. Two tests carried out in Russia and US agreed the hair came from a human-like creature which is not a Homo sapien yet is more closely related to man than a monkey, the Siberian times reported citing a regional government website in Russia. "It was a branch of our university in St Petersburg that carried out a DNA test, and the Zoological Institute of Russian Academy of Sciences. The tests were performed by laboratory of electronic microscopy and laboratory of molecular genealogical classification," Sapunov said. The report gave "scant details", the paper said, adding that cave hair was divided into three lots - 'one was sent to a laboratory in Moscow, another to a laboratory in St Petersburg and the third was sent to an Idaho laboratory'. "All three world level universities have finished DNA analysis of the hair and said that the hair belongs to a creature which is closer by its biological parameters to Homo sapiens than a monkey. The Yeti's DNA is evidently less than one per cent different to that of a human," Sapunov said. A leading Russian expert on the 'abominable snowman', Dr Igor Birtsev who led the 2011 international expedition to the remote cave complex in Kemerovo when the Yeti hair was found has played down the new 'findings'. "I doubt that they have indeed managed to carry out a DNA test on Azasskaya Cave hair, and doubt that they found how close the Yeti is to humans by its DNA," he was quoted as saying by the paper. "It has not been done anywhere in the world. I take it that they've worked with electronic microscopes, but have they compared it to other samples? I am not sure. So I am rather sceptical about Valentin Sapunov's conclusions," he said. The Yeti or Abominable Snowman is an ape-like cryptid said to inhabit the Himalayan region of Nepal, and Tibet. www.business-standard.com/generalnews/news/yeti-hair-found-in-russian-cave-belongs-to-unknown-mammal/74358/

UFO sightings inside Indian territory bordering China raises security concernshere is the latest on this case from India Today Top security brass of the Indian government is battling a "mysterious" threat from the Chinese side these days: tennis ball-sized UFOs. Hundreds of unidentified flying objects (UFOs) have been sighted inside the Indian territory bordering China in recent months, raising security concerns. The issue, initially dubbed a minor one, has turned serious as India prepares to raise it at the diplomatic level with China. Sources said a meeting of the boundary coordination mechanism - a high level official mechanism set up by the two sides to ensure that the boundary incidents between their armed forces do not escalate - is being scheduled later this month where the issue of "luminous objects" will be at the centre of the discussion. The Indian delegation will be led by Gautam Bambawale, the head of the China desk in the external affairs ministry, while China will be represented by its director general, department of boundary and oceanic affairs. Security officials from both sides will also participate in the meeting. Highly placed sources said over 150 such incidents have been reported in the last three months and that India's protests at the local border personnel meeting with the Chinese have met with a cursory denial. The government's decision to raise the 'UFO ' issue at the diplomatic level follows a detailed report sought from the Defence Research and Development Organisation and the Indian Army, and a spectrum analyser to ascertain the objects. Surprisingly, the radar could not detect these objects indicating that they were non metallic. Also, the spectrum analyser could not detect any signals emitted by them. The army also flew a reconnaissance drone in the direction of the floating objects, but it didn't yield anything substantial. "Earlier these reports coming from various sectors of the boundary were sketchy but now we have definite proof of these yellowish spheres coming from the Chinese side; and our concerns will be raised," a source said. According to the reports, in Ladakh sector, such an object was sighted in Thakung post on October 21 for around eight hours. It had an "intense continuous flash light." Another incident was reported from Arunachal Pradesh's Dichu area on October 19. Earlier it was believed that the Chinese could be sending remote-controlled lanterns but that theory was shot down after an internal probe. Mail Today accessed a series of reports sent by the intelligence bureau, the army and the ITBP on the issue, which has been discussed at a high-level meeting on China in the Prime Minister's Office. Some of the top government officials suspect that these UFOs which appear to lift off from the Chinese side and traverse the sky for three to five hours before disappearing were high-intensity cameras. "We are worried that there may be a flare-up if the Indian troops decide to shoot these objects," a source said. : indiatoday.intoday.in/story/ufo-sightings-in-india-near-china-boundary-raises-security-concerns/1/229741.html

the news behind the news, this could solve this frontier problem, as I first thought, India counters China map claims in a tit-for-tat moveNEW DELHI: India is stamping its map on visas given to Chinese visitors, an Indian official said Saturday, after China began issuing passports showing disputed territories as its own. “We have started issuing visas with India’s map as we know it,” said a foreign ministry official, who did not wish to be named, declining to comment further. India’s tit-for-tat action comes after China began issuing new biometric passports showing Arunachal Pradesh and Aksai China – regions that New Delhi claims – as part of Chinese territory. And the response comes amid already strained ties between the two Asian giants. Beijing has also included disputed islands in the South China Sea in the map outline on the new passports, angering both the Philippines and Vietnam, as well as areas including two of Taiwan’s most famous scenic spots. Early this week, the Philippines foreign secretary wrote a protest note to the Chinese embassy and the Vietnam government said it has also lodged its objections with Beijing. India’s The Hindu newspaper said the Indian government had decided not to take up the issue formally with China. “It feels it will be better to speak through actions… than words,” the newspaper quoted an unidentified government official as saying. Beijing has attempted to downplay the diplomatic fallout from the recently introduced passports, with a foreign ministry spokeswoman saying the maps were “not made to target any specific country”. The disputed border between India and China has been the subject of 14 rounds of fruitless talks since 1962, when the two nations fought a brief, bloody war over the northeastern Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh. China’s build-up of military infrastructure along the frontier has become a major source of concern for India, which increasingly sees Beijing as a longer-term threat to its security than traditional rival Pakistan. India is also wary of increased Chinese activity in Sri Lanka and Bangladesh which New Delhi sees as within its sphere of influence. tribune.com.pk/story/470621/india-counters-china-map-claims-in-a-tit-for-tat-move/

No proof of UFOs flying over India-China border Defence Minister A.K. Antony Monday told parliament that India was monitoring all developments in the neighbourhood which could impinge on national security and made it clear that there was no conclusive proof of Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs) over the border with China.Antony was replying to a question in the Lok Sabha as to whether the Army's Leh-headquartered 14 Corps had reported about mysterious UFOs flying over the India-China border during the last three years. "Required measures have been initiated through development of infrastructure and operational capabilities to achieve desired levels of defence preparedness to safeguard the sovereignty, territorial integrity and security of India," Antony assured the house. Antony also said that the situation in Jammu and Kashmir is stable. "The situation in J&K has stabilised due to the persistent proactive counter-terrorist operations carried out by the government," he said in response to a separate question on the situation in the state. Providing details of killings in Jammu and Kashmir during last three years, Antony said that while 13 civilians were killed between 2009 and October 2012, 58 terrorist were gunned down during the corresponding period last year. The highest number of terrorists (245) were killed in 2009. Source: www.deccanherald.com/content/294517/no-proof-ufos-flying-over.html
