Nazi UFO Theory Research
Im starting to do some research on Nazi UFO's, if anyone can help contribute to this thread it would be appreciated
Since 1950 there were many claims about alleged German developments of revolutionary saucer-shaped crafts able to fly with incredible performances, The term for this is Nazi UFO's.
It is claimed that a UFO crashed in germany in Black Forest, near Freiburg, in 1936. They recovered a crashed UFO and started the process to back engineer it.
The people behind this were known as The Vril Society, they later went on to a project called the Haunebu.

The SS E-IV (Entwicklungsstelle 4), a development unit of the SS occult “Order of the Black Sun” was tasked with researching alternative energies to make the Third Reich independent of scarce fuel oil for war production. Their work included developing alternative energies and fuel sources through coal gasification, research into grain alcohol fuels, less complicated coal burning engines for vehicles and generators, as well as highly advanced liquid oxygen turbines, total reaction turbines, AIP (Air Independent Propulsion) motors and even EMG (Electro-Magnetic-Gravitic) engines. This group developed by 1939 a revolutionary electro-magnetic-gravitic engine which improved Hans Coler’s free energy machine into an energy Konverter coupled to a Van De Graaf band generator and Marconi vortex dynamo (a spherical tank of mercury) to create powerful rotating electromagnetic fields that affected gravity and reduced mass. It was designated the Thule Triebwerk (Thrustwork, a.ka. Tachyonator-7 drive) and was to be installed into a Thule designed disc. |
Since 1935 Thule had been scouting for a remote, inconspicuous, underdeveloped testing ground for such a craft. Thule found a location in Northwest Germany that was known as (or possibly designated as) Hauneburg. At the establishment of this testing ground and facilities the SS E-IV unit simply referred to the new Thule disc as a product – the “H-Gerät” (Hauneburg Device). For wartime security reasons the name was shortened to Haunebu in 1939 and briefly designated RFZ-5 along with Vril‘s machines. At a much later time in the war as production of these craft was to commence the Hauneburg site was abandoned in favor of the more suitable Vril Arado Brandenburg aircraft testing grounds. Although designated as part of the RFZ series the Haunebu disc was actually a separate Thule product constructed with the help of the SS E-IV unit while the RFZ series were primarily built at Arado Brandenburg under Vril direction up to the RFZ-4 disc. The early Haunebu I craft of which two prototypes were constructed were 25 meters in diameter, had a crew of eight and could achieve the incredible initial velocity of 4,800 km/h, but at low altitude. Further enhancement enabled the machine to reach 17,000 km/h! Flight endurance was 18 hours. To resist the incredible temperatures of these velocities a special armor called Victalen was pioneered by SS metallurgists specifically for both the Haunebu and Vril series of disc craft. The Haunebu I had a double hull of Victalen. The early models also attempted to test out a rather large experimental gun installation – the twin 60mm KraftStrahlKanone (KSK) which operated off the Triebwerk for power. It has been suggested that the ray from this weapon made it a laser, but it was not. |
When a Vril 7 was downed by the Russians in 1945 a similar underbelly mounted KSK gun was destroyed with debris recovered from the battle site. Postwar the strange metal balls and tungsten spirals that made up the weapon could not be identified. But recently it has been speculated that the Triebwerk-connected balls formed cascade oscillators that were connected to a long barrel-shrouded transmission rod wrapped in a precision tungsten spiral, or coil to transmit a powerful energy burst suitable to pierce up to 4” of enemy armor! The heavy gun installation, however, badly destabilized the disc and in subsequent Haunebu models lighter MG and MK cannon were supposedly installed (although it is not apparent from any photographic source, being an internal installation of six MK-108s in an upper and lower triple gun pack). The Haunebu I first flew in 1939 and both prototypes made 52 test flights. In 1942, the enlarged Haunebu II of 26 meters diameter was ready for flight testing. This disc had a crew of nine and could also achieve supersonic flight of between 6,000-21,000 km/h with a flight endurance of 55 hours. Both it and the further developed 32 meter diameter Do-Stra had heat shielding of two hulls of Victalen. Seven of these craft were constructed and tested between 1943-44. The craft made 106 test flights. By 1944, the perfected war model, the Haunebu II Do-Stra (Dornier STRAtosphären Flugzeug) was tested. Two prototypes were built. These massive machines, several stories tall, were crewed by 20 men. They were also capable of hypersonic speed beyond 21,000 km/h. The SS had intended to produce the machines with tenders for both Junkers and Dornier but in late 1944/early 1945 Dornier was chosen. The close of the war, however, prevented Dornier from building any production models.Yet larger still was the 71 meter diameter Haunebu III. A lone prototype was constructed before the close of the war. It was crewed by 32 and could achieve speeds of between 7,000- 40,000 km/h! It had a triple Victalen hull. It is said to have had a flight endurance of between 7-8 weeks! The craft made 19 test flights. This craft was to be used for evacuation work for Thule and Vril in March 1945. Kenneth Arnold UFO Incident
One of the most famous UFO sightings by Kenneth Arnold in 1947 just before The famous Roswell Incident fits in with the Nazi UFO Theory, Incidently the Arnold Sighting sparked the term Flying Saucers.
Arnold, a recreational private pilot, was returning home from a flight in Wyoming when he received a radio signal requesting assistance in the Yakima, Washington area. It seems there was a missing troop transport and a aerial search party was being assembled. At 3:00 p.m., flying at 9,000 feet, a bright flash of light caught Arnold's attention. Turning to look our of the side window of his airplane, Arnold was amazed to see 9 saucer shaped objects flying in formation. Thinking they were some sort of military aircraft, he watched them intently as they bobbed, weaved, and darted about flying at an amazingly high rate of speed. What fascinated Arnold the most was the fact that the flying objects had no tail, but rather were round, saucer shaped, metallic and highly polished. |

1871 saw the publication of The Coming Race by the English Rosicrucian, member of the House of Lords and minister of the state Edward Bulwer Lord Lytton, who personally knew one of the leading occultists of his epoch, Eliphas Levi. In this novel a young American somehow is led ever deeper into chasms in the earth until he reaches a subterranean realm in which live tall and highly educated people who had mastered a mysterious power they called "VRIL", the vital energy of the shooting grain that anyone could concentrate through his or her so-called Vril Staff and individually apply both healingly as well as destructively. Thought transfer and telekinesis were also possible, but VRIL could also serve as a weapon. In his mystery plays Rudolf Steiner recalls the fate of John W. Keely in the figure of Dr. Strader. In the last scene of the last play Dr. Strader becomes the fulcrum for the New Age. In 1917 four members of the Vril society met in a cafe in Vienna. There was one woman and three men. The woman was a 'spiritual medium'. They met under a veil of mystery and secrecy. They discussed secret revelations, the coming of the new age, the Spear of Destiny, the magical violet black stone, and making contact with ancient peoples and distant worlds. Their source of power was the Black Sun, an infinite beam of light which, though invisible to the human eye, exists in anti-matter. The Vril emblem became the Black Sun, a secret philosophy thousand of years old provided the foundation on which the occult practioners of the Third Reich would later build. The Black Sun symbol can be found in many Babylonian and Assyrian places of worship. They depicted the Black Sun - the godhead's inner light in the form of a cross. This was not much different from the German's Knight's Cross. Foo Fighters
During WWII many pilots withnessed glowing balls of light tracking there aircraft, each side thought it was the others secret technology, it wasnt until after the war that both sides denied it was there's.

Dave Clark and Andy Roberts are military historians and leading experts on UFO sightings during the Second World War. Andy Roberts, author of "Out of the Shadows" says that the sightings were described as tiny balls of light about the size of a beach ball as compared to the full size, larger UFO sightings of today. Interviews with the bomber aircrews show that they didn't make official reports for fear of being grounded or worse, that they would be suspected of having a lack of moral fiber and wanted to be grounded. The last thing the aircrews wanted was to be accused of inventing stories in order to get themselves grounded. Initially, the RAF and the air ministry were extremely concerned because they thought it was some form of secret weapon developed by the Germans. It was well known that the Nazis had developed a variety of anti aircraft weapons such as "Scarecrow" which threw out large, metal bars in the sky. These 'huge metal bars' were seen by people and were designed to un-nerve people as well as damage airplanes. Design drawings taken from secret engineering blueprints seized by the Allies at the end of the war, show just how radical the Nazi's aerospace programs were, plans like these were very unsettling to the Allied Forces. The nighttime skies over Europe during the Second World War were frequently filled by Allied Bomber Pilots, and the glowing balls of light that accompanied them. Referred to as "Foo Fighters" by the radar operators, the name was derived from a popular comic strip of the time. One of the first recorded reports of a UFO sighting is in the official Royal Air Force (RAF) archives and, was taken from B. C. Lumsden. The report discusses a green light that he described as "playing with his aircraft at 7000 feet", on December 7th, 1942 while on a bombing raid over Germany. The report further describes an orange light that first thought to be tracer flack, but that description was discounted when Lumsden realized how slowly it was moving. He reported that the light was diving around the fuselage, in what could be described as a playful manner. The lighted object seemed to defy gravity, as it hovered around the other bombers in the squadron. After a few minutes, the flying orb departed from the adjacent aircraft and proceeded directly towards the aircraft the Lumsden was piloting; it streaked past the plane and disappeared into the night sky. The following night, another squadron commander had a similar experience with a green light that seemed to easily fly alongside, above and below the B52 at will. A few of these sightings could have easily been explained away as pilot error and the like, but there were hundreds, possibly thousands of reports regarding these unexplained phenomena. Surely, these gravity defying, balls of fire could not all simply be hallucinations by tired or frightened pilots. American files from the technological plundering operations that were done on Germany after the war, describe the kinds of technologies that when pieced together, could be used to develop a kind of Foo Fighter type weapon. The Germans were working on a multitude of seemingly bizarre projects but, none of them appeared to have come to fruition. Had the fighting continued long enough, some of these technologies could have been developed into something more tangible, but as it is, the projects ended by the end of the war. Log files by pilots who described having dog fights with strange balls of light are intriguing, but what else could there be to further the idea of the "Foo Fighter"? John Dering, a physicist, technology historian, and senior scientist at SARA Aerospace Corp., has first hand information on the development of "Foo Fighters". Dering reports as having interviewed a German aircraft engineer who actually worked on the prototypes, and in the early stages of production of these vehicles. He says that "these were vehicles that were unmanned. and probably best described as unmanned aerial combat vehicles (UAV)." They were not only used for surveillance, their actual purpose was to engage the allied aircraft, bombers in particular via remote control. The purpose was not to cause a catastrophic, destructive effect such as blowing up the "Foo Fighter" and taking the aircraft down with it, but something that had the ability to be reused, multiple times. There is a lot of anecdotal evidence that Allied air crewman saw these things while flying over Germany, but what about hard evidence at ground level that the Nazis were pursuing this technology? Dering further states that he has 'looked over' a report from made by a US Intelligence officer regarding a Nazi project in the Black Forest. It involved a small vehicle that was specifically designed to be an interceptor for advanced air defense against Allied Bombing Raids. Due to the nature of the source, Dering has 'pretty high certainty that the document is real. Additional reports and information from Dering indicates that Nazi occupied Central Europe was host to the development of secret technologies which might account for some of the UFO sightings. The Wenceslas Mine, Foo Fighters, the Flytrap, and the people whose families have lived in the area create a sense that the Germans were engaged in highly classified work, and possibly anti-gravity type programs, but little is known for fact. The U.S. government is thought to have confiscated secret Nazi anti-gravity technology at the end of World War II, and have since used it for testing in aircraft which could account for at least some post-War UFO sightings. Some of that technology could have event been incorporated into the B2 stealth bomber. Whatever technology that does exist is likely deeply classified and may never surface in anything other than ultra secret government documents. |

The Bell is said to be an experiment carried out by Third Reich scientists working for the SS in a German facility known as Der Riese ("The Giant") near the Wenceslaus mine. The mine is located 50 kilometers away from Breslau a little north of the village of Ludwikowice K³odzkie (formerly known as Ludwigsdorf) close to the Czech border. Cook and Witkowski visited the site for the UK Channel 4 documentary UFOs: The Hidden Evidence. The device is described as metallic, approximately 9 feet wide and 12 to 15 feet high with a shape similar to a bell. It contained two counter-rotating cylinders filled with a substance similar to Mercury that glowed violet when activated, known only as Xerum 525 it has been speculated to be Red Mercury. When active, The Bell would emit strong radiation, which led to the death of several scientists and various plant and animal test subjects. Kecksberg UFO Incident
It just so happens that we have another famous UFO case this time its the Kecksberg Incident On 9th December 1965 the Kecksburg UFO was seen by thousands of people in at least six states across America and Ontario, Canada, passing over the Detroit, Michigan/Windsor, Canada area, the fireball reportedly dropping metal debris over Michigan and northern Ohio, and causing sonic booms in western Pennsylvania. It was generally assumed and reported by the press to be a meteor.
However there are some witnesses that have claimed they saw a UFO in the shape of an Acorn. Some of the witnesses described writing on the craft which resembled Egyptian hieroglyphics. These few witnesses were quickly whisked away when discovered by Military personnel. Later that night, witnesses claimed that they observed a flatbed truck toting a large object, covered by a tarpaulin.
Not all the eyewitnesses were located on the ground at the time of the sighting, there were also several pilots who spoke of being buffeted by shock waves as the large bright object sped by. This was strange as most meteorites are observed several thousands of feet above most commercial aircraft. Here's a summary of the Kecksberg Incident which Ivan Sanderson Investigated.
On 9th December 1965 hundreds of witnesses in Michigan, Ohio and Pennsylvania observed a UFO crash. It first appeared to be nothing more than a spectacular meteorite but 30 years on it is still a source of much controversy amongst UFO researchers. In March 1966, UFO researcher Ivan Sanderson compiled a detailed account from various eyewitnesses, and soon realized that there was more to this story than that of a simple meteorite. His findings indicated that the object showed a clear trajectory, moving from north-west to south-east. Its total visible journey lasted no more than 6 minutes, which indicated a speed far too slow for a meteor. Sanderson calculated a speed of only around 1,000 mph. Not all the eyewitnesses were located on the ground at the time of the sighting, there were also several pilots who spoke of being buffeted by shock waves as the large bright object sped by. This was strange as most meteorites are observed several thousands of feet above most commercial aircraft. There were also claims of shock waves and sonic booms reported from witnesses on the ground. The vapour trail left by the object were so intense that they lasted for more than 20 minutes in which time they were filmed by several people. Several bits of silvery debris were found on the ground at Lapeer, Michigan and these were assumed to be from the object. Later analysis of this material indicated that they were indeed chaff which are pieces of aluminium foil released by aircraft to fool radar. However the most convincing aspect that Sanderson discovered to rule out the possibility of a meteorite was that the object appeared to change direction and head in an easterly direction. The object finally came to rest in a wooded area in the town of Kecksburg. The object was initially witnessed by 2 children who reported that a "start that had caught fire had crashed in the woods". Their mother who's first thought was that her children had witnessed a plane crash called the state police and the fire service. As soon as she had finished phoning she went out into the woods and to her surprise found that a military unit had beaten them to the crash site. This unit took command and told all civilians, police and fire department officials to leave the site immediately. The military unit reported to the police that they had found nothing, and they left. This remained the case for around 15 years when some UFO researchers 're-opened' the case. After some investigation they found out that the fire service had come within 200ft of the object before being turned away by the military. They reported seeing blue flashing lights, and noticing that the tops of several of the trees nearby were broken as if an object had come crashing through. The investigators also reported that they had found witnesses who had seen a large flat-bed truck leaving the area of the woods with a large oval object covered with sheets. Another witness indicated that he observed the military loading the object onto truck. He described the object as looking like a large acorn, with 'bumpers' on the base. He also noticed that there was strange hieroglyphics on the craft surface. The case was reported in the Project Blue Book files and indicated that "a three man team has been dispatched to investigate and pick up an object that started a fire". This three man team is now known to of been part of the then highly classified "Project Moon Dust." The official report was that the UFO was simply a meteorite. In 1990 a new witness came forward who claimed to be part of the military team that was sent in to retrieve the object. He claims that he was given orders to 'shoot anyone who got too close'. He also revealed that the object was being transported to the Wright Patterson base. The last major discovery related to a worker at Wright Patterson who claims that a strange object was shipped in on the 16th December the same year, just days after the events at Keckburg. He described the object almost identically as the other witnesses had described. Whilst he was observing the object a guard escorted him out of the hanger and told him "that you have just seen an object that will be common knowledge in 20 years time." |

Operation Paperclip was the Office of Strategic Services (OSS) program used to recruit the scientists of Nazi Germany for employment by the United States in the aftermath of World War II (1939–45). It was executed by the Joint Intelligence Objectives Agency (JIOA), and in the context of the burgeoning Soviet–American Cold War (1945–91), one purpose of Operation Paperclip was to deny German scientific knowledge and expertise to the USSR[1] and the UK.
Although the JIOA’s recruitment of German scientists began after the European Allied victory (8 May 1945), US President Harry Truman did not formally order the execution of Operation Paperclip until August 1945. Truman's order expressly excluded anyone found “to have been a member of the Nazi Party, and more than a nominal participant in its activities, or an active supporter of Nazi militarism.” Said restrictions would have rendered ineligible most of the scientists the JIOA had identified for recruitment, among them rocket scientists Wernher von Braun and Arthur Rudolph, and the physician Hubertus Strughold, each earlier classified as a “menace to the security of the Allied Forces”.
To circumvent President Truman’s anti-Nazi order, and the Allied Potsdam and Yalta agreements, the JIOA worked independently to create false employment and political biographies for the scientists. The JIOA also expunged from the public record the scientists' Nazi Party memberships and régime affiliations. Once “bleached” of their Nazism, the US Government granted the scientists security clearance to work in the United States. Paperclip, the project’s operational name, derived from the paperclips used to attach the scientists’ new political personae to their “US Government Scientist” JIOA personnel files.

In May 1945, the US Navy received Dr. Herbert A. Wagner, the inventor of the Hs 293 missile; for two years, he first worked at the Special Devices Center, at Castle Gould and at Hempstead House, Long Island, New York; in 1947, he moved to the Naval Air Station Point Mugu.
In August 1945, Colonel Holger Toftoy, head of the Rocket Branch of the Research and Development Division of the US Army’s Ordnance Corps, offered initial one-year contracts to the rocket scientists; 127 of them accepted. In September 1945, the first group of seven rocket scientists arrived at Fort Strong, New York: Wernher von Braun, Erich W. Neubert, Theodor A. Poppel, August Schulze, Eberhard Rees, Wilhelm Jungert, and Walter Schwidetzky.
Beginning in late 1945, three rocket-scientist groups arrived in the US for duty at Fort Bliss, Texas, and at White Sands Proving Grounds, New Mexico, as “War Department Special Employees”.:27
In 1946, the United States Bureau of Mines employed seven German synthetic fuel scientists at a Fischer-Tropsch chemical plant in Louisiana, Missouri.
In early 1950, legal US residency for some of the Project Paperclip specialists was effected through the US consulate in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, Mexico; thus, Nazi scientists legally entered the US from Latin America.
Eighty-six aeronautical engineers were transferred to Wright Field, where the US had Luftwaffe aircraft and equipment captured under Operation Lusty (Luftwaffe Secret Technology).
The United States Army Signal Corps employed 24 specialists — including the physicists Georg Goubau, Gunter Guttwein, Georg Hass, Horst Kedesdy, and Kurt Lehovec; the physical chemists Rudolf Brill, Ernst Baars, and Eberhard Both; the geophysicist Dr. Helmut Weickmann; the optician Gerhard Schwesinger; and the engineers Eduard Gerber, Richard Guenther, and Hans Ziegler.
In 1959, ninety-four Operation Paperclip men went to the US, including Friedwardt Winterberg and Friedrich Wigand. Similarly, Georg Rickhey, who came to the United States under Operation Paperclip in 1946, was returned to Germany to stand trial at the Mittelbau-Dora war crimes trial in 1947, was acquitted, and returned to the United States in 1948, eventually becoming a U.S. citizen. The aeromedical library at Brooks Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas had been named after Hubertus Strughold in 1977. However, it was later renamed because documents from the Nuremberg War Crimes Tribunal linked Strughold to medical experiments in which inmates from Dachau were tortured and killed.

After the war the Alies took all the Nazi Scientists over to america, there they put them into secret groups to continue there research on UFO technology.
It is claimed some of these scientists were took to NASA, one of which being Wernher von Braun.

A former member of the Nazi party, commissioned Sturmbannführer of the paramilitary SS and decorated Nazi war hero, von Braun would later be regarded as the preeminent rocket engineer of the 20th century in his role with the United States civilian space agency NASA. In his 20s and early 30s, von Braun was the central figure in Germany's rocket development program, responsible for the design and realization of the deadly V-2 combat rocket during World War II. After the war, he and some of his rocket team were taken to the U.S. as part of the then-secret Operation Paperclip. Von Braun worked on the US Army intermediate range ballistic missile (IRBM) program before his group was assimilated by NASA, under which he served as director of the newly-formed Marshall Space Flight Center and as the chief architect of the Saturn V launch vehicle, the superbooster that propelled the Apollo spacecraft to the Moon. This man is a legend in his knowlege of Rocket Science, he helped develop the Saturn V5 Rocket which took man to the moon.
Could he have had access to the UFO crash in Germany ?
It is also claimed by Clark C. McClelland that Von Braun had visited the crash site of the Roswell Incident.
According to McClelland Dr. Von Braun explained that he and other unamed associates were taken to the Roswell crash site in which Von Braun stated that the exterior of the UFO was not metal as we know it, but appeared to be made of something biological, like skin.
McClelland also says that Von Braun had witnessed alien bodies which were being kept in a medical tent near the UFO. The beings were small, very frail, and reptilian in nature.
Now how true this is i dont know if anyone else has anymore info on this let me know.

Another scientist who brought new knowledge to America was Viktor Schauberger. Although there is no evidence that Schauberger had Nazi sympathies, he was viewed by the Americans as a collaborator and put `into protective custody' for six months at the end of the war. Dr Walter Miethe, and Rudolph Schriever also entered America under Operation Paperclip, however it is believed that their colleague Habermohl fell into Russian hands. Whilst in the US, Miethe continued his `flying disk' work working primarily for the US Air Force, however he was sub-contracted to A. V. Roe and Company. In 1959 Jack Judges, a freelance cameraman was flying over this company's plant in Canada when he saw and photographed this picture of a disk shaped craft sitting on the ground. |
After the photograph was published in the papers, speculation grew that the disk was a secret weapon, and one that may have accounted for many of the UFO sightings during previous years. In response to the speculation, the US Air Force released the following official photograph of the craft. It was called the `Avro' and had first been launched in 1955. A CIA memo of that year confirmed that the craft was based work undertaken by German scientists, notably Miethe, during WWII. The Avro Canada VZ-9 Avrocar was a VTOL aircraft developed by Avro Aircraft Ltd. (Canada) as part of a secret U.S. military project carried out in the early years of the Cold War. The Avrocar intended to exploit the Coandã effect to provide lift and thrust from a single "turborotor" blowing exhaust out the rim of the disk-shaped aircraft to provide anticipated VTOL-like performance. In the air, it would have resembled a flying saucer. Two prototypes were built as "proof-of-concept" test vehicles for a more advanced USAF fighter and also for a U.S. Army tactical combat aircraft requirement. In flight testing, the Avrocar proved to have unresolved thrust and stability problems that limited it to a degraded, low-performance flight envelope; subsequently, the project was cancelled in September 1961. Through the history of the program, the project was referred to by a number of different names. Avro referred to the efforts as Project Y, with individual vehicles known as Spade and Omega. Project Y-2 was later funded by the US Air Force, who referred to it as WS-606A, Project 1794 and Project Silver Bug.
