Im waiting for the interview to buffer up its taking ages, but I did read some of the article, now then here is what gets me right away, the guy is a pilot and owns a helicopter he took it out the hanger to video the object.
OK why didnt he go and get a closer look with the helicopter ? Anyone in that position would have done so. My guess is he knew it was a balloon probably tethered to the ground which is why he didnt go up in the helicopter.

this pilot claims... and 40 other witnesses... that this object stayed stationary for 2.5 hours.... whereas a ballon would at least float... He also contact air traffic control... they radioed to othr planes to see if they could see... no one responded back. I found him to be rather crediable.

If the balloon is tethered to the ground its not going to move much. So why didnt he go and get a closer look it was apparantly there for 2 hours so he had plenty of time to do so.

Trying to put myself in his shoes... I dont know that I would either... If I saw something in the sky, estimated to be 25 miles high... and my first thought was, it was something unknown, like a craft... I would not engage. I would have done the same thing, contact the authorities and let them respond. Are you saying you would have gone up for a closer look?

Here you go dbh Quote: A UFO seen earlier this month over Kentucky, Virginia and Tennessee has been tentatively identified by a popular website in the United Kingdom. According to information made available on Oct. 26, 2012, the UFO may have been nothing more than a child's toy that retails for approximately $15. To be specific, the unidentified flying object that was spotted by thousands of witnesses across three states was nothing more than a solar-powered airship, according to The Daily Mail.
The toy measures more than 26 feet in length. It is made from "high-density, lightweight matte black films [that] reacts to the heat from the sun and gets bigger as it fills with air."
The impressive airship can fly as high as 30,000 feet. However, amateur astronomer Allen Epling, who captured the strange UFO on video, claimed that the object he saw was soaring a whopping 100,000 feet off the ground, far higher than the toy's capabilities.

Yes, I saw that same article, and I guess I interpreted it differently. “the UFO may have been nothing more than a child's toy” I guess that also could mean…. That it may not have been.

I understand that... but I have yet to find major faults in her stories, have you?

Ok Linda gets sucked in by any story when it comes to UFO's she might be a good journalist but shes a terrible researcher, take the Dan Burisch case, Dan Burisch has been proven to be a HOAXER by UFO Watchdog, George Knapp and UFO Magazine. Linda said on national radio that she didnt need to check Dan Burisch's credentials as his sincerity was proof enough...

I cant speak to that since I have not read her stuff on Burisch... but, for example, her recent stories with regards to the crop circle in Ohio, the Alaskian Pyramid, and the story about the craft dropping "something" in Black Diamond lake... being an information junkie that I am, her reports have a ton of information. I like that.

I cant respond to that becasue I am not famular with that specific story.
See... even though... you and many others maynot agree with her and her information, the average lay person who is unsure as to where to turn for help does not see her like you do...
so... in viewing her reports, I love listening to actaul MP3 interview of her source.
I just think she presents a lot of information and I find her blog more detailed than most others on the net. Is it all true, maybe not... but she does go pretty deep in her reporting.... and me... being an information junkie.... I can respect that.

Is it all true, maybe not... but she does go pretty deep in her reporting.... and me... being an information junkie.... I can respect that. Like I said she might be a good journalist but she's a terrible researcher and does her best to promote HOAX's. Just read this passage from that site. And look at the parts Ive bolded, Quote: As part of Linda Moulton Howe’s presentation this year the so-called CARET drones, pictures of which appeared on the Internet in 2007, were promoted as being genuine craft that had been built using extraterrestrial technology at a secret laboratory in Palo Alto, CA. Various e-mails to Coast to Coast AM Radio and to Linda Howe’s Earthfiles website (www.earthfiles.com) with alleged sightings and photos of the drones were sent by people calling themselves ‘Isaac’, ‘Chad’, ‘Deborah’, ‘Raj’, etc. None of these informants was visible or contactable as a real person and their identities were clearly false. The acronym CARET supposedly stands for “Commercial Application Research for Extraterrestrial Technology”. In fact it is more likely a homonym for the “carrot” which was dangled in front of eager ufologists like Linda who took the bait.
An excellent article on the drones and CARET documents by then MUFON International Director James Carrion appeared in the MUFON UFO Journal of April 2008 concluding that there was every indication that the whole thing was a highly elaborate hoax. What Carrion failed to mention at the time was that many of the metal parts which made up these “craft” were unmistakably bicycle components which had been sectioned or modified. Ball bearing race cages, modified bicycle wheel rims and bicycle derailleur idler-arm gear wheels can be clearly seen in the CARET photos by experienced bicyclists. This was communicated to Linda in 2007 by Bob Soetebier (www.BikeBob. org) but she chose to ignore his warning. The CARET drones also bore cryptic symbols, supposedly of extraterrestrial origin. On Thursday, July 19, 2007, NPR radio affiliate KWMU broadcast a "St. Louis on the Air" show on cryptography during which someone named ‘Isaac’ called in. From what he said then and the fact that he had attended a "2600 meetup for Hackers and Phreaks” there is a strong possibility that this ‘Isaac’ --from the St Louis, MO, area-- was the man who created the CARET drones hoax. A further letter from Bicycle Bob to this effect can be found at the following link:

Honest answer to that is definately. If she is going to ignore hard evidence and continue to promote a HOAX then she doesnt deserve to be called a researcher.
