North Korea Threatens Nuclear Strike On America North Korea dramatically increased tensions with the west today by threatening the US with a pre-emptive nuclear strike as early as next Monday. The rogue state stepped up its war stance against America with threats of a missile launch as the UN thrashed out plans to slap further sanctions on the secretive state. The reclusive country says the US is using military drills in South Korea to prepare for a nuclear war and has scrapped a peace deal struck with Washington after the 1950-53 Korean War. Along with its ally neighbouring China has threatened the US and its “puppet”, South Korea, on an almost daily basis but this is the most serious warning in years. The North’s foreign ministry spokesman said: “Since the US is about to ignite a nuclear war, we will be exercising our right to preemptive nuclear attack against the headquarters of the aggressor in order to protect our supreme interest.” Ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice hit back, saying: “North Korea will achieve nothing by continued threats and provocations. “These will only further isolate the country and its people and undermine international efforts to promote peace and stability in northeast Asia.” Source: www.mirror.co.uk/news/world-news/north-korea-threatens-nuclear-war-1749130

I don't think NK will attack the US, not yet and not without support. The Korean War is techically over, it is only in ceasefire. I do see SK and NK coming to blows at some point in the near future though. NK has one of the world's largest armies and contary to popular belief it is highly trained and well equipped.

Hmm... With the government stockpiling ammo as they have been doing these last few months, guess all we are waiting for is the icebreaker to start WWIII. I'm sure China will back up North Korea.

China backed up NK last time and lost an awful lot of men for no real gain. China I don't think will back up NK this time down to the fact NK is a loose cannon and cannot be controlled. Think about it, if you release a nuke, you give permission for a nuke to be used on yourself. If you back up someone who uses a nuke, you welcome nukes on you. Nukes destroy vast amounts of land and infrastructure. NK will only use nukes if it feels that it is loosing, sort of like a suicide that will cause damage to others as well.

Gotta agree with "Laurance" on this. Ya know Japan is closest and could be a target also. All our allies are at risk really. If....If they did manage to get a nuke this far after the inital fall out I had a really bad thought. In Texas alone we have over 60 white supremist and other hate groups that we know of. This would be a great time for them to rise up. They've got stock piles of weapons and probly enough food and protective gear to really cause a problem if they were to take advantage of the situation. Florida has over 80 I think. This is just IMO of course.....
