I'm not convinced that the following are the result of UFO activity considering the location of the events but I still want to post and solicit your thoughts.
Many years ago, I had an 1973 Chevelle. It ran alright. I lived in Tampa, FL and one day I was, as usual, driving west bound on Hillsborough Avenue. I stopped at the light just north of Tampa International Airport. It was a hot day but that's not unusual for that area.
As I sat at the light, my speedometer suddenly wound slowly to the right as if I was actually traveling, and traveling very fast, but I was stopped perfectly still at the traffic light.
The speedo had never done that before nor at any other time I owned the car.
Yes, I thought about UFO's.
Noticing the speedo moving on it's own, I was puzzled and looked upward through the windshield and saw nothing but normal sky, not even a passenger jet was taking off and flying overhead.
I then stuck my head out of my door window and looked up and saw nothing as well.
Years later, I was driving my 1991 Nissan truck. It was a hot day. I stopped at the exact same traffic light as years before and as I had done in that truck many times.
As I sat at the light, the engine started to make a horrible noise as if rocks were jumbling under the hood. I found this upsetting and confusing and looked at the dashboard indicators which were normal: No overheating, oil pressure normal, speedo normal, odometer normal, tach normal.
I turned my truck off and worried about being stuck in such heavy traffic with a broken truck. On a lark, I turned the key and the truck started fine and functioned normally thereafter.
It never did that before and to this day it has never done that again.
Two different vehicles, two different makes, two different production years, one with some electronics, one without. Same location, several years apart.
I wonder if somehow the numerous and advanced electronics at the very large and busy airport could have affected my vehicles on those occasions. Perhaps conditions were just right for some kind of electronic affect?
While it's impossible to ask every person who travels that road if they have had such experiences, I had over the years questioned friends, and they say they have never had such an experience.
