I propose that, when any one edits their post, they state why at the foot of the post, and a rule not to edit the post after some one has replied to that post without permission from uforn, excepting spelling errors and punctuation, start the next post with the words "I don't agree" if you are a raving gaylord. ;D medrew on manners

I don't agree. Sites such as this can get burried under too many rules. People should be able to write as they wish regardless of how far out their statement may seem to the general populace. Keep it simple.

There is no need to put these kind of limits on editing posts as I edit mine all the time to make them better. However if there is som, ething specific you should always quote the post your replying too then that way it wont matter if the person edits there post as youve already got the original post quoted

Keep it simple. what do you mean you don't agree ? after 2 minutes on the site you have not had the pleasure of debating a subject here, the idea is to stop a post being edited to suite a reply, as this can make the reply look ridiculous and out of context, you both obviously don't understand forum etiquette.

Whats the problem with quoting the post your replying to ? As I said before it wont matter if the post is edited after the reply. Im not putting this into effect Im not even going to consider it, as if I did it opens up more room to enforce rules such as no deleting a post after it has been replyed too, and I am not turning this forum into a dictatorship like some other forums. And as for understanding forum etiquette, I understand it perfectly

Who do you think your talking too ? Once again you show disrespect to a member of staff, consider this a warning.

tsk tsk... Such vulgarity.
I think a reason is irrelevant. Focus on the content of the post more than the reason to change it.
