MUFON Finds Billy Meier UFO "Cold Case" Suddenly Very Hot - and Very Real FLAGSTAFF, Ariz., July 16, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- In 1980, Billy Meier, the Swiss UFO contactee, took 63, clear 35mm film photographs and a five-minute video of an object dubbed the Wedding Cake UFO, or WCUFO. Skeptics immediately pounced on the photos claiming they showed a model made from a garbage can lid and Christmas tree ornaments. With MUFON, the international UFO investigating organization, lacking the technology to determine the authenticity of his UFO photos, and Meier himself not saying anything in his own defense, the matter was perceived as a hoax and became just another UFO "cold case". Photo - photos.prnewswire.com/prnh/20140715/127404 Enter "CSI"Fast forward to today where - just like in an episode of CSI - independent researcher Prof. Rhal Zahi revives the Meier cold case by taking a took a close look at the "DNA" in the WCUFO photos using PhotoShop, professional 3-D computer modeling software and actual scale models. His 74-page report, including his reproducible protocols, conclusively authenticate the photos as large, unknown objects and rules out small models or special effects. Prof. Zahi then discovered never before seen details in a nighttime WCUFO photo that have been hidden in not so plain sight - for 34 years - revealing that the craft is hovering over a gravel road and that Meier somehow actually took the photo from...above the object. MUFON Takes Another LookArmed with Prof. Zahi's authentication of the WCUFO, Meier's American representative, Michael Horn, contacted Jan Harzan, the Executive Director of MUFON, who's known about the Meier case for 25 years and struggled with it being simply "too good". Harzen and Horn formed a precedent setting alliance and, for the first time in 34 years, MUFON opened the Meier case to its 3,000 members worldwide. Staggering ImplicationsAccording to Horn, "Prof. Zahi's work vindicates Meier of charges that he hoaxed his evidence. It also makes the SETI program unnecessary because it conclusively shows that the UFOs photographed and filmed by Billy Meier are extraterrestrial in origin. With Meier's well documented contacts with the Plejaren extraterrestrials still ongoing for over 72 years - and so rich in scientific information - the implications are truly staggering. My take on the B. Meier story or ANY UFO story is that if it seems to be too good to be true it probably is a hoax. I now believe the B. Meier story is all a hoax, but not at first. I was TOTALLY taken in by this. I wanted to believe so badly. And let that be a warning. Do not want it so badly that a hoax clouds your better judgment. It happened to me. I strongly suggest to all to do the research and approach this subject or any UFO report from a point of knowledge. I did a “Google” on B Meier and found, “About 28,900 results…” listed. Three of them follow. 1. Billy Meier's X Wife Admits It Was All A Hoax!!! www.youtube.com/watch?v=arMKT0r9cL82. The Billy Meier 'Hoax' Exposed? The Wedding Cake UFO Controversy By Michael Horn www.theyfly.com/newsflash2/newsflash2.htm3. The "Truth" of Billy Meier [HOAX], what they don't want you to know... www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread380900/pg1Happy researching!

Hi ron, Ive tryed to find out if Mufon has anything to do with the article. I have searched their website and cannot find anything on this. Mufon follows me on Twitter Ive asked them several times if they have anything to do with this but they have not replyed. Michael Horn is Billy Meier's US Publicist he is the source of the article and the claims are his. He was caught out in 2008 admitting to intentionally posting false and misleading articles on his website in order to deceive the public about the claims of Billy Meier. See this ~ SUMMARY OF AUGUST 27, 2008 EMAIL CORRESPONDENCE WITH MICHAEL HORN I think this is just Michael Horn trying to get the last few $ he can out of the case. Its been proven a HOAX for years. Ive emailed Jan Harzan (Mufon's Director) asking if they are Invovled in this, but he is out of office until Friday so we will see if I get a reply

Howdy Judge. IF MUFON is supporting this issue it will be interesting to follow the story to see how it plays out.

Judge, The B. Meier story is a dead horse and why anyone or any UFO Research entity would even consider touching the story is incomprehensible to me. Even if MUFON gets back to you on this story, what's the point? I would rather discuss the Loch Les Monster. Respectfully, Ron.

I got a reply back from MUFON on Twitter, this is what they said ~ "We agreed to list as one of our Famous Cases. It's def interesting, but the credibility is controversial."
Ive asked them what their stance is on the case and if they class the case as a HOAX. See if they answer that.

How else could MUFON classify the story? Perhaps MUFON wishes to use the story as a training tool? At least one good thing would come of it.

Thats what Im trying to find out, I dont think they will use it as a training tool. They have got the case up on their website MUFON ~ Billy Meier 1978 No mention of a HOAX or anything. Michael Horn and several other Meier supporters are posting in the comments we should go and post too see what Horn has to say when faced with some tough questions.

If mufon run with this being 'real' then they are just living up to their credibility. It looks like they are running with it mate as theyve got it on their site and there is no notes or anything from MUFON saying its a HOAX or anything, the article they posted is from Wiki. I was surprised I got a tweet from them to be honest as Ive not seen them reply to any tweets by others. So I doubt I will get another reply to my tweet on how they stand on the case, if not Ill send another email to them, but to John Ventre this time.

I believe it IS a 'Famous Case". The most "Famous Hoax Case" ever, and it needs to be viewed as such. People need to read and watch everything about the case and educate themselves as to what is out there in so much as deception is concerned.IMHO

Here's a post from 2010 by member Laurance on Billy Meier ( All this is well documented for those that are new to the case ) ~ For those of you who don't know who Billy Meier is, here is some background to him. A farmer born in the town of Bulach in the Swiss Lowlands, Eduard "Billy" Meier's claimed his first extraterrestrial contacts occurred in 1942 at the age of five with an elderly extraterrestrial human man named Sfath. Contacts with Sfath lasted until 1953. From 1953 to 1964 Meier's contacts continued with an extraterrestrial human woman named Asket. Meier says that after an eleven year break, contacts resumed again (beginning on January 28, 1975) with an extraterrestrial human woman named Semjase the granddaughter of Sfath. In his teens, Meier joined the French Foreign Legion but says he soon left and returned home. He traveled extensively around the world pursuing spiritual exploration, covering some forty-two countries over twelve years. In 1965 he lost his left arm in a bus accident in Turkey. In 1966 he met and married a Greek woman, Kalliope, with whom he has three children. The nickname "Billy" came by way of an American friend who thought Meier's cowboy style of dress reminded her of "Billy the Kid". This anecdote was told by Meier himself in an interview with Bob Zanotti of Swiss Radio International in June, 1982. (BZ, 1/08). Meier has accumulated a large collection of controversial photographs showing alleged spaceships (called beamships) as well as alleged extraterrestrials (humanoids called the Plejaren). Meier says that the Plejaren gave him permission to photograph and film their beamships in order to produce some of the evidence for extraterrestrial visitation. Meier's claims are disputed by UFO skeptics as well as some UFO enthusiasts. Many Meier proponents and believers exist among UFO enthusiasts, and his evidence has seen increased exposure through the efforts of an American representative, Michael Horn, who has appeared on popular late-night paranormal programs such as Coast to Coast AM. Beginning in 1975, Meier allegedly began his official contacts ("official" in that evidence was to be provided publicly, unlike earlier contacts), communicating both directly (face-to-face) and by telepathy with a core group of the Pleiadians/Plejaren, or Errans as he also refers to them (Erra being their home planet), who gave their names as Ptaah, Semjase, Quetzal, and Pleja among numerous others. According to Meier himself in the video documentary 'Contact', he says that his first contact with extraterrestrials began on January 28, 1975. These visitors reportedly hail from the Plejares star system which is beyond the Pleiades and in a dimension that is a fraction of a second in the future from our own (an alternate timeline). These Plejaren have allegedly afforded Meier a more interesting sampling of evidence than that derived from most such encounters, including highly detailed photography, videos, multi-toned sound recordings, the temporary use of a weapon which he employed for trial on a nearby tree, and metal alloy samples. Meier claimed the visitors charged him with certain informational and consciousness-raising tasks. As he undertook this mission, he met with a great deal of scorn and derision in addition to (according to his center) twenty-one assassination attempts. Some of these were allegedly initiated by hostile extraterrestrial entities and subsequently defeated largely through the intervention of his Plejaren friends. Meier was uncomfortable with the megalomaniacal associations some would attach to his role as a representative (such as use of the term "prophet", e.g.) but he undertook the effort nonetheless. In 1975 Meier established the Freie Interessengemeinschaft für Grenz- und Geisteswissenschaften und Ufologiestudien ("Free Community of Interests for the Fringe and Spiritual Sciences and UFOlogical Studies") , or FIGU, a non-profit organization for the benefit of researchers into this field, and headquartered it at the Semjase Silver Star Center. This is his Infamous Wedding Cake Photo. According to Meier's ex-wife, however, as reported by Kal Korff, he made this fake UFO (above) with the cover of a garbage can and kitchen utensils, then photographed it from nearby. This pict offers IRREFUTABLE proof of a deliberate deception, without any special equipment or software needed to reach that verdict. All we have to do is look and think about what we're seeing. We see a "craft" that is in focus ("sharp") while the house on the background is out of focus ("blurry"). This means the house is a lot further away from the camera than the "craft" is. We can estimate from the size of the windows that the house is at aprox. 12m to 18m (39.4 to 59 feet) from the camera. Since the house is so much out of focus, while the craft is in focus, the craft must be at most at 1m to 2m (3.3 tot 6.6 feet) away from the camera. The craft is therefore at most +/- 1m (3.2 feet) large! It MUST just be a model, albeit a relatively large one. In fact, further analysis shows the model is in reality +/- 60 centimeters large (+/- 2 feet, or 23.6 inches). Here is his infamous photo of the Plejarens Asket and Nera. The blonde woman actuualy turned out to be Michelle Della Fave, a Dancer on the Dean Martin show. Once this became known, Meier then claimed he was set up by the "Men in Black", and that they stole the original photos, replacing them by these. He also claimed to take photos of Dinosaurs, which turned out to be from a popular children's book on Dinosaurs. He also claimed to have a metal sample which he passed on to Wendelle Stevens who then had them tested by chemist Marcel Vogel. Vogel said that in his view the samples could not have been made by means of contemporary earthly metallurgy as they were apparently produced via cold fusion. Vogel also stated that the metal vanished from the IBM laboratory not long after his work was completed which prevented other scientists from performing their own analyses on it. And on top of all this he has had many messages from the Aliens warning him of World War 3 and nuclear devastation. With the years being 2006, 2008, 2010 and 2011, so far these have not become true (well as far as I know). Yet he still commands a very big following in the New Age community.

People need to read and watch everything about the case and educate themselves as to what is out there in so much as deception is concerned.IMHO I agree ron it "IS" the most famous HOAX of all time which I thought was dead and buried but its come back again on MUFON which has given Michael Horn a platform to promote this infamous HOAX even further, why MUFON would allow this case on the site without giving their opinion on the case is beyond me. You cant argue with the likes of Horn because they (he) has one goal and that is to make money its as simple as that, every skeptic that has proved in some way or form that this case is a HOAX has been slated as lying by Horn and his followers. Photos Meier presented have all been proven to be a HOAX they were either from a book as in the Dinosaur photo, here is Meiers photo ~ Which was later found out to be from the book "Life Before Man" Here is the "Original Image" the photo was took from ~ But according to Horn this photo along with others including the Michelle Della Fave photo and the rest were switched by the MIB! As for the wedding cake photo they are trying to claim is "Real" now on MUFON, that couldnt fool a 10 year old! No matter what they try to do.

I wonder which hoax will next rise from the grave? It almost seems as if there is a cycle to this. None I hope but they always do especially youtube videos that have been re-named. Here are a couple of very good videos that show in great detail exactly how Meier created the HOAXED photo's/video's and UFO's.

Thanks it shows exactly how it was done, just had a look on MUFON and have found the Quote of the Day lol. Here it is ~ Quote: So according to Michael Horn Billy Meiers Case is the only Credible UFO Case! Talk about trying to push a HOAX, put every other UFO case down and claim the one you have is the only one that is REAL.

It looks like MUFON is going to re-open this case, the link to the website has been changed it used to say Billy Meier 1978 in the link www.mufon.com/billy-meier---1978.html That has now been changed to Billy Meier 1964 to present www.mufon.com/billy-meier---1964---present.html I have no clue whats going on at MUFON but its not good when they are hosting a well known HOAXER and giving a platform for them. I know whats coming next and its going to be more photo's and they will be from 1964, watch this space. Theyve had plenty of time to fake more photos over the years.

If MUFONs goal is to destroy their credibility, they are about to accomplish that goal. They sure are, Im going to sit back and watch the Demise of MUFON. Back in the 70s they used to get well over 1000 to 2000 people attend their conferences, a week or so ago they reported they had only 400 attend their last conference. Thats a big drop in numbers and peoples interest in them. And them numbers will drop even further if they continue to support this case.
