About ten years ago I woke up one night to see an orange ball out side my window. At first I thought it was the street light, till I realized that I wouldn't be able to see street lights out of that window. I rolled onto my back and looked in the corner of the room and saw a figure standing there. He was wearing a black hooded cloak and there was a red glow coming from underneath it. He had the big black almond shaped eyes. I was scared, looked at my boyfriend who was sleeping next to me and he was out cold. I looked back at the alien and proceeded to bury my face in my pillow and hide under my blankets. I instantly fell back asleep. I don't claim this actually happened. Its been ten years and I still don't know what to think. I've had nightmares about aliens and abductions since I was really young. None of these dreams have ever been like that experience. I can still picture him in my mind, clear as day. I don't recall any of my other nightmares in such vivid detail. I'm also not a vivid dreamer. I'm not sure what to make of this experience, if it even happened. I'm sharing this because I'm tired of letting my fears rule me

That sounds eerily similar to an experience I had. I remember waking up to go to the bathroom around 5 am when I was a teenager, looking out my bathroom window and seeing large, orange-amber balls of light floating in the back yard. I walked into the kitchen where my parents were getting ready for work to point the lights out to them. At first they didn't see anything, but finally I got them to notice the unusual phenomena. The next thing I remember was feeling very afraid, and then I was in the car with my parents driving my dad to work. I vividly remember the sunrise being a very bright red that morning.
I later asked my parents if they remembered any weird lights or anything else strange happening and they said they didn't remember anything like that, so I'm wondering if it was just an extremely vivid dream. I don't remember waking up, but then I don't remember much of what happened at all, seeing how it was many years ago.
