Low aspect ratio provides the least drag, enabling the aircraft to speed up to Mach 3. In this configuration the trailing edge becomes the leading edge, a section of the wing root becomes the new trailing edge.

A Kansas parent is wondering if their 5-year-old’s comments about “a round plane with bolts” and subsequent drawing could be an actual UFO sighting, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database. The January 25 event occurred as the parent was driving their child home from school. The child made the comment about something she saw in the sky, but the parent, who was driving, was unable to view the object. Two days later, the parent asked the child to make drawings of what she saw. The following is the unedited and as yet uninvestigated report filed with MUFON. Please keep in mind that most UFO reports can be explained as something natural or man-made. I was driving my daughter home from school. She says to me look daddy, a round plane with bolts! I really did not look because I was driving. When we got home I began asking her questions. It was over a house and slowly moving south she pointed out to me. What is really more bizarre to me is at age 5 I too saw my first UFO. That was the first time my daughter even mentioned or talked about UFO. Two days later I asked her to draw me a picture of it. I was so amazed by this. I said draw me another. Almost a copy of the first one. I am so surprised because like I said never before did she ever know about UFO. See my girls pictures attached.

Interpretation of the Crop Circle Appeared at Cley Hill, nr Warminster, Wiltshire. Reported 9th July Most crop circles appeared after this May can be correlated with each other. Therefore, when decoding a single crop formation, one also has to review the major concept which all formations are under and the major concept can be used to double check whether the interpretation of each crop formation is correctly deciphered or not. On the contrary, one can use each crop formation to review the major concept as well. So here comes the question, why the circles of this year have such a correlation among them? As a matter of fact, circle makers are systematically wrapping up all messages for the one last time. Regarding the accuracy of the messages from the crop circles, it is beyond my personal ability to judge. For I believe, as of to date, nobody has such ability to prove whether it is truth or not. On the other hand, there is nobody has enough scientific evidence to prove the theory of crop circles is wrong. Therefore, I suggest one should analyze and judge those messages out of rational wisdom, discuss with open minds and do not fall into the trap of emotions. Emotions will only lead to dead-ends but not truth and one will never have a chance to realize how big the world is outside of Earth. As for me, it was purely a tiny little chance that I was enabled to read the crop circles. So I have interpreted some of the crop circles appeared over the past 10 years. Actually I could have chosen to collect those decoded messages as pieces of art and kept them to myself. I could lead a secret life, taking the interpretation of new circles as my interest and enjoy myself. However, after a thorough consideration, I didn’t do so and decided to share them with the great public. There are a great many circle chasers out there and the mysterious crop circles are still riddles over all those years. If my interpretation could be a clue for the general public, a contribution to unveil the mysterious crop circles, the messages from the circles might bring a whole new perspective to humankind and a great leap in the human civilization. Now let’s return to the new formation. This crop formation is the successor to the Danbury Hill circle, reported on July 6th. When I was interpreting the last formation, I have made a pre-announcement unintentionally. It seems like the circle makers are reviewing my articles… By looking at the following two figures simultaneously, you will see where the unintentional announcement is. Or I should rephrase it to – what is the correlation between these two formations? Did you notice that the cross areas encircled by purple line where the big yellow arrows point to are identical? This is the correlation of these two formations. The last formation says that in order to achieve the global climate control purpose, the earth must be divided into different zones, under the concept of honeycombed partitions, and then a global central air conditioning system will be built to balance and synchronize the temperature of each zone. The new circle continues to say, the world is so big, where should be the most appropriate location to build the central air conditioning system? Let’s take a look at the following picture. Obviously, the shading effect of this 3D manifestation suggests there is a light source. The top of the 3D object indicates the light source is from the above, as the red arrow shows. Then let’s zoom out to see the panorama and to find out where the energy source is …. You will see the energy of the central air conditioning system is projected from the top of the adjacent hill. In other words, the future central controlling system will be built on the world’s highest roof. Perhaps it is the Himalayas…

I thought they had released a statement, it was saying how it was an ICBM fired from the USA that encountered problems. I think the reason most just grab onto anything like this, is due to people wanting it to be real, they want Aliens and UFOs to come. I havnt seen that report m8. I'll just dig it out, Laptop is a mess trying to sort out files and the like

The pics in question are long exposures of Helicopters & have nothing to do with this case. Well just have to wait and see what your friends in china come back with Yes I have been informed that the main picture is nothing but a helicopter. But I will keep the Board informed of anything from China.

Well actually any photos of the event are fake due to many reasons. It was only deteched on Radar not seen by any 'credable' witnesses.
This is from one of my Friends and fellow Researchers who lives in China.

I agree that some of the pics have such a strong, directed light streaming downward. That's what makes me wonder if they could be doctored. EDIT: And the number of lights on the side of the craft differ between pics. Well the first of the four pics is actually if you look at the main news pic is the same craft, same angle etc so is probaly a photoshop. The other two just don't look real, i'm sure many people would have reported blues lights beaming down from it. The fourth one does look more real, but still, beaming blue lights.

That article struck me interesting because as far as flying machines are concerned, we (humans) have been toying with alternative designs and engineering since post WWII. And now the government addresses the USO at a time when they are gaining greater public attention. Coincidence? Think you hit tha nail on the head there.

More in:- Another photo from a different angle which shows a wide trail behind the object as it zips through the skyAccording to the "World Aeronautical Press Agency", the UFO was spotted later over the cities of WUXI and NINGBO. This would mean that from HANGZHOU airport it travelled approx. 200km NORTH to WUXI and then approx. 270km SOUTH-EAST to NINGBO Or From HANGZHOU airport it travelled approx. 150km EAST to NINGBO and then approx 270km NORTH-WEST to WUXI. Either way, if this is true it moved approx. 500km back and forth. www.avionews.com/index.php?co...ante=index.phpQuote from previous post of insider friend at this airport; "I have a buddy of Qin Ge is to work in the Xiaoshan airport, is the control center. He told me that the reality of that day out on their radar is a giant strip of the object, look high in the 3,200 meters. Instant route through the north The high altitude" Interesting... The information of "north" suggests that the UFO came over China's eastern seaboard in a North-Westernly direction (meaning it must have come from over the Pacific, and should have perhaps been sighted in northern Australia), moved over Ningbo towards the Xiaoshan airport, and then changed direction completely and went north to Wuxi. "A helicopter -- military or private -- must have onbard, by law, a transponder. As soon as a helicopter comes within range of an airport that transponder will automatically respond to the Air Traffic Control." Aviation law i think; A helicopter cannot be an unidentified object near an airport, unless in the unlikely event that it doesn't have a transponder on board.A helicopter , military or private has no choice when it comes within range of an airport because the transponder will automatically respond to the Air Traffic Control. Some food for thought there.

A Chinese airport was closed after this mysterious object was spotted in the sky. Arcing over Zhejiang's provincial capital Hangzhou, the UFO appeared to glow with an eerie white light and left a bright trail in its wake. Xiaoshan Airport was closed after the UFO was detected at around 9 pm and dozens of flights had to be diverted. The strange light appeared to glow as it swept through the night sky, to the alarm of local residentsStunned witnesses reported seeing a comet-like fireball in the sky and a number of local residents took photos of the strange ball of light. A local bus driver, giving his name only as Yu, said he had seen a strange glowing object in the sky late on Wednesday afternoon. 'The thing suddenly ran westwards fast, like it was escaping from something,' he said. Inbound flights were diverted to nearby airports while outbound flights were delayed for three to four hours. Some Chinese experts claimed that the strange sight was actually debris from a US intercontinental ballistic missile. Chinese officials later said that they knew what the object had been but were unable to make it public because there was a 'military connection.' An official statement is expected later today. www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-1293395/Chinese-airport-closed-UFO-spotted-city.html

I dont think theyll ever make first contact. At least not in our lifetime. People go on about them coming here to help mankind and the likes. But why should they help us? We cant even have peace amongst ourselves never mind Aliens from another planet. And its only going to get worse. As for what it would do for Ufology not alot really well just go i told you so and move on to something else as everything weve researched will have been answerd. I understand that the chances of a peaceful first contact is slim and also all this talk of Galactic Federation and stuff is all BS. It was just something that came to mind the other night whilst watching Babylon 5 (once again i'll say it, great Sci-Fi show) ;D But I do disagree to an extent on first contact being past out lives as who knows they might be right round the corner like in District 9 or V, we just don't know yet.

A European Union lawmaker says governments should stop covering up information about UFOs and let the public know the truth.
Mario Borghezio, an Italian member of the European parliament, says the EU should have its own X-files center where anyone can look at the information gathered on unexplained sightings in the sky.
Borghezio is seeking the support of other lawmakers from the 736-member assembly for a statement calling on governments to act. So far he has collected only a couple dozen signatures supporting his measure, but he says his colleagues will come around.
Opening the files is not unprecedented: Last year, Britain published 4,000 pages online on 800 alleged encounters with aliens during the 1980s and 1990s. And over the past three years, the British Defense Ministry has been gradually releasing previously secret UFO papers after facing Freedom of Information demands.
Massimo Teodorani, an astrophysicist long active in UFO circles who backs Borgehezio in his request, urged lawmakers to grant him and other experts access to the data.
"We can expand our scientific knowledge very quickly, so this is important for mainstream science," he said.
Teodorani said he neither believes in alien encounters nor rules them out, but insists the secret files would prove it once and for all.

Unknown daytime object was photographed over Perry's Victory Monument in Put-in-Bay, Ohio on Saturday, 3rd July 2010 around 10:30 am. Witness report: Object noticed on photo of Perry's Victory Monument. Me and my wife spent the Fourth of July weekend visiting Put-in-Bay, Ohio. On Saturday, July 3rd, 2010, we were riding our bikes toward the Perry's Victory Monument. It was approximately 10:30 am, Eastern time, and the Monument was directly to our East. The morning sun was extremely bright, and the skies were perfectly clear. The sun was directly behind the top of the structure when we rode by, so I stopped to take a picture. It was very peaceful and quiet at this time. The top of the tower was glowing from the sun behind it. I took a picture with my digital camera, although it was very hard to see what I was shooting because of the intense sunlight. When I got home, I transferred the pictures from our trip to my computer in order to print them. When I printed the picture of the Monument, I noticed something in the air behind it, about half-way up on the right side. I didn't think much of it until I looked very close. Then I looked at it on the computer, and I zoomed in as far as I could. I saw a very distinct, metallic, steep-angled, saucer-shaped flying object. It was very startling. I remember having to squint whenever I looked in the direction of the Monument, and my attention was focused on the glowing top, so I did not notice the object when I took the picture, only when I printed it out. And, like I said above, it was a very quiet and peaceful time of the morning, and me and my wife made a note of how quiet it was at that time (no airplane or helicopter noises).Enlargement of UFO

New UFO photo taken over the Mayan ruins of Tulum in Mexico on 15th May 2010. The ruins are located on 12-meter (39 ft) cliffs, along the east coast of the Yucatán Peninsula on the Caribbean Sea in the state of Quintana Roo. Witness report: Disc shapped craft over the Mayan ruins of Tulum. My girlfriends parents just recently returned from a trip to Mexico. They visited the Mayan ruins of Tulum and when they returned we were looking through the photos of the trip. In one of the photos we noticed something that made us gasp. You can clearly see a disc shaped craft in the top right corner that was not seen when the photo was taken. The craft is very clear and the photo is excellent quality. The photo has not been altered and was taken strait off of the SD card. The craft appears to be moving very fast and you can even see the shadow below the disc. This picture will send chills down your back! With the Mayan ruin below, this is one crazy freaking photo. I have showed this to all of my co-workers, friends and family. Even people who do not believe seem to be taken back by this!Enlargement of UFO

In the early hours of this morning (8th July) I got to thinking whilst watching Babylon 5 (A great Sci-Fi show) what will happen to UFOlogy once First Contact is made and they say 'Hello, we want to help you and incorperate you into an Alliance/ Federation/ whatever'. (Obvisously this is a best case scenario).
I have a few ideas, but I'll open it to the forum for discussion first.

In a rare celestial event over Europe, skywatchers will be able to see an asteroid briefly block out the light from a star as it passes in front of the star Thursday night.
It may be the only asteroid eclipse that will take place this century, observable with the naked eye.
A similar situation like a solar eclipse can happen with asteroids - the sun-orbiting, rocky or metallic objects that are left over from the formation of the solar system.
About 400,000 of these dark bodies, from a few hundred kilometres to just a few metres wide, are known to exist. The smaller ones are hard to detect.
More than 6,500 are Near Earth Objects -- their orbits come close to that of earth's.
Such objects could potentially hit earth and, depending on their size, produce considerable damage.
While an asteroid is far too small to cover the sun, one will occasionally move directly in front of one of the many stars in the night sky and block its light from view, causing a stellar occultation.
Since asteroids move relatively fast, these events typically last just a few seconds. Normally the occulted star is so faint the event can only be seen via telescope.
During Thursday-Friday night, however, a star visible to the naked eye, Delta Ophiuchi (the fourth brightest star in the constellation Ophiuchi), will be occulted by asteroid Roma, which is about 50 km across, according to a statement of the European Space Agency.
This means the occultation will be visible only along a path about 50 km wide, crossing central Europe, Spain and the Canary Islands.
