Ive seen this doing the rounds and its passing off as UFO's or Rods.
Rods are just camera artifacts. This footage is a very good example of Ball Lightining. Think about it for a min, footage is took during a severe lightning storm.

I saw a documentary explaining the rods, and two cameras were used; one normal everyday type camera and one highspeed camera both filming at the same time at the same location, side by side. The normal everyday camera showed rods while the high speed camers showed, when slowed down, insects, mostly those that fly very fast such as beatles, wasps, etc. The up and down frequency the rods displayed are the wing beats.

Yes ron your right I couldnt remember exactly what caused them but I knew it was something to do with the camera.
