Hello All,
Over the decades there have been many UFO Detector devices offered to the public that have covered everything from magnet field anomalies to Geiger readings, and electromagnetics. Eventually I will post some information on some of these devices which have been mass produced as well as hand built by private individuals. Some of these contraptions are actually quite interesting, very cleverly made, and for the most part portable. Some have even been constructed to pick up sound frequencies above as well as below the thresholds of Human hearing. I have found the subject extremely fascinating, especially when some of the units have been in the hands of high profile individuals in the field of Ufology.
My general take? Since I've not tried any of these devices I am not in a position of any authority on the subject but I think if any were successful then everyone in Ufology- even me- would own or make one
BUT!! There is one that I do have. It's new. So new in fact that it's still in the testing (Beta) stage. I have it up and running on my computer and have been monitoring my little patch of sky now for a couple of days. It took a while for me to get the operation running smoothly but it wasn't the fault of the software nor the algorithm the programmer is using. I will explain later if anyone has questions but for now I'll get to some aspects of what is being called the UFO Detector even though the name could be viewed as rather generic.
Number one, it's records videos in color, day or night. I have also been uploading common things like birds and such to help the programmer in tweaking the algorithm so that it will disregard objects that could be mistaken as a UFO. Planes, stars, the Moon, Planets, birds, and other everyday objects are being added in or already are added in to help eliminate false positives.
Number two, it's fast- VERY FAST- in capturing split second images. Less than a second. I've already seen several tiny white lights that would appear and disappear in milliseconds. These "objects" appear to be high atmosphere, brief occurrences that are probably small meteors.
But I can now say that I have something that I CAN'T explain. It occurred last night 4/1 at 9:09pm. The strange thing is the direction the target takes. Also it was extremely quick, it appeared suddenly in the lower right corner of the video and angled UP from left to right and out of the field of view less than a second, Also the color, shape, and speed of the image(s) isn't what I would expect from a plane. I also think it safe to say that the angle of travel probably rules out a meteor. I also took two snapshot frames in the correct order. Below is a close up of the first frame.
I would like to congratulate Project CE on the speed of the UFO Detector's software!

Hello All,
These occurred at 9:49pm April 2, 2015 and now my curiosity has been piqued:
Two nights in a row now, at around the same time roughly give or take 45 minutes or so. Here is the video for the one from the first night. It appears very briefly in the lower right at the immediate beginning of the video. and it's FAST. When viewing the lower right hand side it exits the video at the side right edge of the video frame in less than a second:
vimeo.com/home/myvideos
I can perhaps assume that the two images captured the second night move just as quickly. There is only the two stills available however as the software did not record a video for them. But at least it generated the two images. I would like to again open this up for discussion since this has happened more than once. Again, the night was clear and there was a Moon. I think a second event warrants a deeper look and look forward to any questions or input

Hi hiflier, your video link takes me to a sign up page so I cant view the video, but going off the screenshots it looks like what others have filmed many times in the way of "Rods" which are in fact just insects.

Hello uforn, Insects. It's winter here. Night time temps are in the 20's- Fahrenheit. Try this link: vimeo.com/123971042

Hello alienorigins, I will clarify. I've never thought aliens have been here or are here now. The Universe is big though so could any be somewhere else? Perhaps but just like here on Earth there's no proof. The software I'm using picks up things like meteors and other things that are not birds or planes. The system is in the testing so the list of things to eliminate needs to be programmed into the algorithm. In time it will be a great tool for recording those things like meteor showers and maybe bright comets or even a supernova. It's being called a UFO Detector but it will pick up anything bright or white in the sky and at an extremely fast rate. As far as UFOs go though? Well, I've really nothing to say on the matter that I haven't already said

If its not an insect then its dust or something small and very close to the camera, your going to get these kind of videos all the time and they are useless.

Hello alienorigins,
Hope so but that's yet to be realized. One of the tings I appreciated most about it was how much code writing and programming went into the software. Something that quite obvious when one see's it in operation. A supernova blasts out gamma rays which as we know aren't all that good for living things over time depending on the intensity. What a lot of folks don't know as that gamma rays travel only slightly less that light speed. As far as the radiation goes by the time we see a supernova that by the time we see one in the sky the radiation is soon to be already here. It means there's little or no window to prepare except in knowing the dynamic and possibly preparing the world for slightly higher cosmic ray concentrations over a period of time- sometimes lasting tens, hundreds, or even thousands of years. Fascinating stuff really.
